Did you know that the origins of ice cream date back to A.D. 618 – 907 of China’s T’ang period? It made its way to North America in the late 1700s and was enjoyed by Ben Franklin, George Washington, and Thomas Jefferson.

Ice cream found its way to FSG Smart Buildings in May when we had an ice cream truck stop by the branch to provide each employee with two ice creams of their choice and a sprinkle of fellowship time.

Our team enjoyed favorites such as Bomb Pops, Super Hero Popsicles, Drumsticks, Ice Cream Sandwiches, and Sno Cones, all courtesy of FSG Smart Buildings and Ice Cream 2-U. 

Last year Smart Buildings performed 4,000 installs and provided 24/7 support to over 10,000+ locations for Building Automation, Energy Management Systems, and IoT. It takes a lot of really good people to accomplish all that work, from design to fabrication, installation to support, and all points between.

The employees at FSG Smart Buildings joined together and performed at such a high level that a series of appreciation events were planned for this year. Nothing says “Hey, you’re appreciated” more than ice cream.
